The One They Called Doom

MF DOOM was one the most influential hip-hop artists throughout the 90ā€™s and 2000ā€™s. Having collaborations with Madlib, J Dilla, Adult Swim an Gorillaz, this man was almost everywhere in my life. To be honest it took me a second to really understand and connect with his style but the more I listened the more I was drawn in to the lore of the villain, the samples from comics and animated shows, the combinations of music and storytelling.

MF Doom passed in 2020 and when that happened I really wanted to honor everything that went into his discography. So here is what I cam up with.

[as] Poster

In my free time I do a lot of side projects and designs to stay on my toes aesthetically and culturally. Doing posters and side passion projects can really remind a creative what they get inspired by as well.

Iā€™m a big fan of Adult Swim, living in a unique space between mainstream media and underground-indie culture, it breeds content.

So naturally I wanted to put it all on a poster.

Character Ilustration

Plain and simple, I wanted to begin to teach myself how to do character illustration and get better and creating something more dynamic and lively.
